Destini was born Tracy Taylor, from Gary, Indiana. She first showed signs of creativity at the age of four through music. She was a member of the choir at St. Timothy Community Church. At age nine she developed a talent for writing music and poetry and shortly after, moved to Merrillville, Indiana where she graduated from Merrillville High School. She attended Indiana University Northwest in 1996 where she studied Organizational Communication. In 2006, she moved to Brooklyn, New York and this is where the name Destini was brought to life. She became a member and joined the choir at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Destini had her hand in several pots while in New York. She had a full-time job with an answering service, she worked part-time as a bartender, she did freelance work at Atlantic Records and Reality TV Network, she went on casting calls for acting and appeared in an independent film called “Fly Girls,” she did photo shoots with Saswat Pattanayak and still managed to make time for her close friends and family.
She acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and two Master’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship with honors through Ashford University. She ran a call center for five years and discovered her ability to provide customized and creative solutions for businesses through multiple channels. In 2018 she began to invest her time and energy into Destini Creative Selections, LLC to bridge the gap between her corporate expertise and creative skill set.
In 2019, she started the Destini Unfiltered Movement in order to empower her audience to live in their truth regardless of what opinions others may have about it. She also created a YouTube Channel a Destini Unfiltered Podcast and started a blog called Unisex Central in order to expand her creativity in an unfiltered written form that allows her to connect with both men and women.
